Atlantic Wave Radio can now be heard on your Nintendo Wii games console!

To tune in follow these instructions:

1. Open the Internet Channel on your Nintendo Wii games console.
2. Click the WWW button and enter the following web address:

http://wii.atlanticwaveradio.com

3. When the page has loaded, click the button marked with a star to goto your favourites.
4. Add the address to your favourites and exit the favourites.

You can listen to both AW1 and AW2 anytime!

Shows move to AW1 on Nov 15th

We are moving all shows from AW2 onto AW1 starting November 15th 2010.

As part of our changes to the stations if you wish to continue listening to the Deuce and AMPed New Music Weekly shows you will need to tune into Atlantic Wave 1.

There will be no more shows played on AW2 after the end of this week.

Please remember to tune to AW1 from the 15th.

AW2 now 64K and in Stereo!

Atlantic Wave Radio 2 is now broadcasting in Stereo and we have upgraded the stream to double the bandwidth of 64Kbps.

This will give much better quality reception and full stereo.

You should not have to change your device or software unless it specifically requires you to put in the bandwidth, and most do not, they should detect the change and upgrade automatically.

Enjoy the new music with Atlantic Wave Radio 1 and 2.

MORE CHANGES COMING SOON TO ATLANTIC WAVE RADIO:

We are moving the new music shows from AW2 over to AW1 starting on the 8th of October.

The playlist of AW2 will change to our new Totally Smooth playlist soon.

Exciting changes at Atlantic Wave

We are making some big changes here at Atlantic Wave Radio in the next few weeks and I think your going to like it!

Firstly we are upgrading the quality of Atlantic Wave 2 to a 64Kbps stream, this will mean much clearer reception. Most people will not need to adjust their software or devices to receive this change.

At the same time we will be moving the shows that used to be on Atlantic Wave 2 over to our primary channel Atlantic Wave 1,
so to keep up with the latest episodes of Deuce Radio and the AMPed New Music Weekly shows you will need to tune into AW1, we will let you know the exact date soon.

One More Thing

Atlantic Wave 2 will be getting an entirely new playlist.

We will still be featuring the best new music but AW2 is going Totally Smooth with much more laid back tracks.

Atlantic Wave 1 – The best in new music and new music shows, a great mix of music for anytime listening.

Atlantic Wave 2 – Totally Smooth, laid back tracks for chilling out in the evenings, weekends or anytime you just need to kick off your shoes and relax.

iPhone app and iOS4

The Atlantic Wave Radio app for iPhone is not compatible with the recently released iOS4 update by Apple.

The app is compatible with iOS 3.1x devices only. If you upgrade to iOS4 the app will cease to function correctly.

We are working on a new version that will work on iOS4 and will announce that soon.

In the meantime we recommend you do not upgrade if you wish to continue to use the app.

There will be an alternative web app for those of you that have already upgraded or wish to upgrade to iOS4, that will be available later today (22nd June)

In the next few days we are changing Atlantic Wave Radio to bring you even more music choices!

Now you will have two stations to choose from both packed with great music 24 hours a day.

There will be even more new music on Atlantic Wave 1, every hour will be packed with great new music.

Atlantic Wave 2 will play a selection of all the tracks we have played at Atlantic Wave.

Atlantic Wave 2 will also be the place to tune into great music shows such as the Deuce Radio Show and the AMPed New Music Weekly show.

Changes to the Streams

Our stations audio streams have changed slightly.

Our main channel is now 64Kbps in Stereo and our mobile channel is now 32Kbps in Mono.

We tweaked the settings on our main channel so the sound quality is comparable with the old bitrate.

The mono actually sounds a lot better, having more bandwidth for just the one channel makes such an improvement.

If your listening on a mono internet radio consider using the mobile channel as it helps us out a LOT with costs and should make little to no difference if you only have the one speaker anyway.

Please see our instructions which have been updated, as our stream address is changing. Don’t panic as if you forget to change nothing will happen just yet.

This is to allow for future expansion, etc. So please update your settings to avoid problems in the future.
